The following parts are in original working order:
  • L28 2.8L Engine (from 1978 280ZX parts car)

ALSO INCLUDED: I have numerous extra parts that are included with the car:

  • Two original (mechanical) radiator fans
  • New (unused, never installed) high-flow oil pump
  • Original rear-bumper, not installed
  • Extra valve cover, good condition

NOTE: I do not consider the brakes reliable, and therefore do not recommend driving the vehicle as-is. (I believe there is a leak somewhere in the rear brake system that is letting air in, but I haven't troubleshooted it.) Car has about 217,000 miles on it. Engine is believed to have about 78,000 miles on it, from previous car. The engine runs great and the transmission works well.

Also, there are two problems with the passenger side door. 1- It does not close easily. 2- The window is missing and the window regulator is out of alignment. I have a replacement passenger side window regulator with the car.

A little about this particular 240z:
Datsun 240z # HLS30-95618 was manufactured in September of 1972. It was subsequently purchased new by my stepfather Jimbo in downtown Atlanta.

Jimbo owned and maintained the car for most of it's current life. It has been across the country and back at least twice, with summer stops on the west coast. During it's service to Jimbo it only had regular maintenance work done to it.

Some time around 1991 the car was sold to someone else. This new owner painted the car himself and removed some rust from the outer body. Later he had trouble with the fuel filter clogging and decided to put some rust remover in the fuel tank. After that he gave it back to Jimbo.

The car sat in Jimbo's garage for the next several years until January 3rd, 2000 when he decided to give it to me as a restoral project. And thus, this project is begun.
